Annual EPP Honor Society Meeting

We will be holding our annual Board of Directors meeting in Emmitsburg, MD the week of June 3rd. More information will be provided as requested and during the morning of June 3rd on the EMI campus.

Current and prospective students, chapters/programs are invited to participate in the conversation of progression and enhancements for EPP, opportunities for students and website updates.

Duties of the President/Asst. Director: This Director will be responsible for knowing all aspects of EPP Honor Society in order to substitute for the Executive Director when necessary. This position requires promoting the honor society to prospective chapters and maintaining relationships with current chapters. This is a volunteer position.

Duties of the Secretary: The Secretary shall keep a record of all proceedings of the Assembly of Delegates and the Executive Council and of all decisions made by electronic ballots, develop an annual summary of EPP activities and accomplishments for inclusion in EPP history, provide leadership for maintaining the policies and procedures manuals, and shall have such other duties as may be determined by the Executive Council to accomplish EPP priorities. This is a volunteer position.

Annual Emergency Management Higher Education Symposium Student Volunteer Position-Great opportunity!!

Students currently enrolled in a college/university emergency management program are needed as student volunteer interns for the Annual Emergency Management Higher Education (Hi Ed) Symposium.  Students may be assigned one or more breakout sessions for reporting assignments and will be expect to perform general conference duties.  The reports will be incorporated into the post-symposium proceedings posted to the FEMA Emergency Management Higher Education Program website.

Participate in a summer research project with BTI. For 10 weeks from June 6th and August 12th, participants engage in workshops, tours, mentorship, research, and experiential learning. Each student is assigned a faculty mentor. Cross-disciplinary research provides an opportunity to network, expand awareness, and apply learning to current complex issues. Each participant that successfully complete the internship will receive a $5,000.00 stipend.
